Event Schedule

2:00 – 4:15 p.m. - Tour the APPrO Power Networking Centre and attend discussion on microgrids or technology disruption

4:15 – 5:15 p.m. - Students and professionals meet one on one or two on one for a speed mentoring session

5:15 – 6:00 p.m. - Continue the conversation, or join the sector-wide APPrO reception afterwards on the Power Networking Centre floor

About the Hosts and Sponsor

Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) is focused on playing a visible and important role in the energy sector, while advancing the role and recognition of women in the field. Launched in October 2013, WiRE forges partnerships with a spectrum of Renewable Energy industry associations, other related networking groups for professional women from across the energy sector, and academic providers.


APPrO is a non-profit organization representing more than 100 companies involved in the generation of electricity in Ontario, including generators and suppliers of services, equipment and consulting services. APPrO members produce power from co-generation, hydro-electric, gas, coal, nuclear, wind energy, waste wood and other sources. APPrO’s members currently produce over 98% of the electricity made in Ontario.

NRStor Inc. is a privately held Toronto-based energy storage project developer and owner focused on accelerating the development & construction of industry-leading energy storage technologies.
